About Us

Rare Roots Of Joy (ABN 83 492 981 539) is a boutique nursery and online plant shop specialising in rare, unique and interesting plants, and plant-related accessories and products. We sell things that you'd get in most plant stores. We also sell things that are harder to find.

We are officially launching now in the Autumn of 2023. YAY! 

The nursery is small so we can't promise a big range of plants thousands of plants for sale. That is not our business. If volume is what you are after, then there are other suppliers who can assist you. What we can guarantee, is that when we put a plant up for sale, it's in the best possible condition it can be.

Our plants don't go up for sale without a lot of love and care behind them. We do not buy plants wholesale, only to flip them and sell them days later for profit. Our business is driven primarily on providing quality plants and providing an exceptional customer service experience. All our plants spend a minimum of 4 months in our care before we deem them ready for sale. Many (most) we raise from seed, from tissue culture or are our own propagations.

This is why you can be sure that plant you buy from Rare Roots of Joy have been carefully cultivated and raised to be the strongest, fittest plants on the market. We may not have the huge stock levels, but we think healthy plants that are ready to find their new forever homes more important than just numbers and turnover. 

Ultimately, we love our plants as much as our customers do. It shows in everything we do.
