Shipping policy

Domestic Within Australia

Rare Roots of Joy only ships on Mondays and Tuesdays. Any orders received during the week up until 8:00AM Sunday morning will be shipped the following Monday or Tuesday.

If both Monday and Tuesday are public holidays, we will hold your order until the following week.

All orders are sent via Express Post with Australia Post.  Tracking information will be sent to your email address. You can also track your order under your customer profile.

We do not ship on any other days of the week.

Quarantine vs Non-Quarantine States

Due to quarantine restrictions, we can presently only ship products directly to the following Australian States and Territories:

  • Victoria (VIC)
  • New South Wales (NSW)
  • South Australia (SA)
  • Queensland (QLD)
  • Australian Capital Territory (ACT)

If you reside in Tasmania (TAS), Western Australia (WA) or the Northern Territory (NT) you are in a "quarantine state".  While we cannot ship to you directly, we may be able to send your plant via a plant concierge service of your choosing.

You are responsible for additional costs incurred from using such a service.  Rare Roots Of Joy charges a flat rate of $20 per plant to cover the additional costs at our end associated with the use of a plant concierge service.

Combining Postage

If you want to purchase multiple plants and combine them into a single parcel to save on postage, we can facilitate this in one of the following ways.

1. Place an order for a single item and contact us to ask us to add the additional item/s with combined postage.  We will send you an invoice so you can pay for the additional items.

2. Place an order for both/all items, then contact us to let us know you'd like to combine the postage. We will refund the additional postage fees.

International

Due to quarantine restrictions and laws governing the exporting of plant materials, we cannot ship internationally.
