Worm Castings

Worm castings provide endless benefits to your soil, including your houseplants. They are a gentle, effective, natural fertiliser that provide essential nutrients to your plants and garden. They also contain a huge amount of good bacteria and microbes for the soil/substrate. Worm castings are often called “black gold” in the horticulture world and with good reason! Worm castings are also proven to increase a plant’s resilience to pests, drought, heat, disease and other stresses.

Our worms aren't just fed paper and cardboard, although that is part of their diet. They are fed a rich diet with lots of variety. This leads to a better casting that we use here at Rare Roots Of Joy. The plants love it and we know yours will too.  

We recommend using 10%-20% of worm castings in your chosen soil mix for all your plants. In addition to adding the castings directly to your soil, you can also make "worm tea" and significantly level-up your watering game.  Trust us, your plants will love it.
